we’re here to help.
The Canadian Cancer Society Smokers' Helpline is a free, confidential telephone service you can call for easy access to a trained Quit Coach. We can help you develop a structured “Quit Plan,” answer your questions about quitting, and refer you to services in your community.
Hours of operation
Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST
Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST

Who will you talk to?
You'll talk directly to one of our trained Quit Coaches – one-to-one with a real person. Our Quit Coaches have a proven track record for helping smokers quit.
You will speak to someone who:
- won't judge you
- knows what quitting smoking is all about
- understands what you're going through
- will answer your questions and share important, up-to-date information
- can advise you on specific quit strategies that might work for you
